Evatt Newsagency has sold its third winning lottery ticket in six months with the latest winner walking away $1 million richer.
The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, claimed their first division prize on Friday, having purchased a ticket in the Wednesday Lotto draw.
The $1 million win is the largest prize the newsagency has sold and the third division one win this year.
In late May, the newsagency sold a division one winning entry in a Saturday Lotto draw worth more than $687,000 to a man in his 60s.
Five weeks later, the store sold another first division Saturday Lotto winning ticket worth $708,049.82 to a Canberra father.
The newsagency owner, who declined to be named, said he was very happy the store had pumped more than $2 million into the ACT over the year.
"It's a big bonus for Christmas," he said.
"We encourage people to have fun and play responsibly."
Along with the ACT winner, the other winning Wednesday Lotto ticket was sold in the Sydney suburb of Coogee.
The winning numbers in the December 3 draw were 15, 43, 21, 3, 32 and 17 with the supplementary numbers of 16 and 24.
