Sydney woman Lidija Dumbaloska is facing a number of charges stemming from her alleged burglary of the ambassador's home in 2010.
She is accused of illegally entering a home in Griffith, and taking a number of items, including a laptop, CDs, mobile phones and other items.
The woman then allegedly demanded $153,000 and €40,000 from the ambassador, Pero Stojanovski, for the return of the items.
The pair were in a romantic relationship for about a year, but it ended after the alleged burglary, a court heard in 2011.
Dumbaloska is fighting the charges, saying she had consent to go into the home and that the electronics were shared possessions.
She was committed to the ACT Supreme Court almost a year ago, but her trial has not yet been held.
In an earlier court hearing in July 2011, her defence team described the prosecution's case as weak.
Her lawyer said the charges had only arisen because she had discovered information on the laptop that ''scared the life out of her''.
The case will come back before the courts later this month.
Dumbaloska was not present in court on Friday.
