He described the behaviour of various police as "vindictive" and "reprehensible", saying they religiously pursued his son over assault and rape allegations.

Those allegations were made in the midst of a bitter property dispute following a break-up. The woman was then working as an administration worker with NSW police, and had begun a new relationship with a NSW police officer.

Serious doubts were raised about the woman's claims after ACT Criminal Investigations detectives took over the case from Gungahlin police, putting the accuser under covert surveillance.

The woman, who cannot be named, is now on trial in the ACT Magistrates Court for allegedly making false accusations and causing public mischief.

The trial, which has run all week, has heard she allegedly made false accusations of rape against the prison guard, and against a former neighbour years earlier.

On Friday, prosecutor Anthony Williamson called evidence from the prison guard's family, who backed up his alibi for the morning of March 21, 2014, a date on which he was accused of raping the woman and bashing her head against a brick wall.

His father told the court he had been flying back to Canberra from Perth on the day, and, upon arrival, was told his son had been arrested.

At one point during his evidence, he told the court: "We knew they were actively out to get [my son]."

"That was clear from day one, and acting Sergeant [Scott] Corcoran was the chief instigator."

He arrived at his house to find police conducting a search. He asked to see a search warrant, and said he received no answer until a Gungahlin sergeant conceded she didn't have the paperwork with her, and sent someone back to the station to obtain it.

He said another sergeant at the scene made derogatory comments about his former navy service, and about the cost of his legal representation while he was on the phone to his lawyer.

The sergeant, he said, had begun searching a car parked on the street, and when questioned about whether he had a warrant, replied that it was a "good faith" warrant.

The mother said her son had been at home on March 21, something she tried to tell police when they turned up to arrest him later that day.

"I did say that [name removed] hadn't done anything, he'd been at home the whole time," she said.

The accused woman's defence lawyer, Michael Kukulies-Smith, questioned many family members about a trip by the prison guard to a tattoo parlour while he was on bail.

The man was, at that stage, required to be in the company of his parents when away from the family home.

His mother told the court she was with him during that trip.

But Mr Kukulies-Smith alleged that relevant CCTV footage from the tattoo parlour, owned by a friend of the guard's father, appeared to be missing.

The father emphatically denied any suggestion he had told the friend to delete the footage, saying both had been high-ranking members of their navy ship, who had been required to display the utmost professionalism and integrity.

One of the allegedly false accusations made by the woman was that her iPad had been stolen from her home in Bonner.

The iPad was later found outside the home of the prison guard's family.

But a tracking device on the woman's car appeared to suggest she had driven to the home herself with the iPad.

The prison guard's family denied ever having taken the iPad, or anything else from the home.

When the accusation was put to the mother, she replied: "That is very incorrect and I take that as a personal affront."

"I have more integrity than that."

The hearing continues before Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker on Monday.
