On Saturday police recovered an unregistered Toyota Landcruiser with damage to the front from scrub on the outskirts of Queanbeyan.
The vehicle had not been reported as stolen.
A police spokesperson said they are concerned for its occupants due to the damage the vehicle sustained.
They are calling on its driver or passengers to reach out so they can establish their welfare.
The Molongo Gorge area is a popular spot for bushwalkers and picnickers.
