A 25-year-old woman has died and another woman is in a serious but stable condition after a serious crash on the Federal Highway on Sunday.

The crash happened shortly before 3.45pm on Sunday when two cars travelling southbound on the Federal Highway collided near the Wheatley VC rest area near Lake George.
One vehicle rolled several times.
Police said a passenger was ejected from one of the vehicles.
A woman was airlifted by Snowy Hydro SouthCare to Canberra Hospital where she remained in a serious but stable condition on Sunday night.
Four other passengers were also injured and were taken by ambulance to Canberra Hospital.

Police said the drivers of both vehicles were subject to mandatory drug and alcohol screening.
Police said inquiries into the crash were continuing. Police will prepare a brief for the Coroner.
The fatal collision caused heavy traffic delays with cars backed up for several kilometres.
