And while you will have to be quick, take your best shot - competition has been fierce, in that most beautiful of photographic ways.
From the rippled reflection of golden trees next to Lake Burley Griffin, cockatoos flying in a rainbow-decorated sky and a contented dog sitting among those ever-present leaves, The Canberra Times readers have captured nature at its best.
To enter, send a maximum of three photos to photocomp@canberratimes.com.au as attached JPEG files and include your name, address, phone number, photo title, a description of the photo and the date it was taken.
Photos must be at least 150 kilobytes and not more than one megabyte in size.
Winners will take home a share of the $1000 prize.
The competition closes at 4pm on Friday, June 1. The three winning entries will be revealed in The Canberra Times on Friday, June 8.
