Three pumpers, an aerial platform and breathing apparatus were dispatched to the Gibbons Street home around 6am to extinguish the fire.
ACT Fire and Rescue says the three bedroom house was well alight and part of the roof had collapsed.
ACT Policing say no-one was inside the house at the time of the fire.
Police are investigating further and urge anyone who may have information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or act.crimestoppers.com.au.
