National parks workers are mopping up a hazard reduction burn south of Canberra.
The five hectare fire in the Tinderry National Park is now almost out, according to a Queanbeyan National Parks spokesman.
Meanwhile, Rural Fire Service volunteers are working on extinguishing a number of small fires across the border.
Volunteers have a five hectare blaze under control at Spring Creek Road near Bungendore, and an additional two hectare burn near the Kings Highway is also under control.
Meantime in the ACT, fire fighters were called a house on Outtrim Avenue this morning at about 9.17am after reports of an electrical smell.
ACT Fire and Rescue searched the house with a thermal camera and did not find cause for the smell.
