A fire broke out in a telephone exchange in Canberra's north on Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called after the small blaze on Sandford Street, Mitchell, triggered an automatic smoke alarm shortly after 7.30am.
Fire crews arrived soon after and put out the fire.

They also ventilated smoke from the building.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
