ACT Fire and Rescue are responding two separate gas leaks at the Charles Conder Primary School in Conder and the Kingsford Smith School in Holt.

Firefighters were called to the Conder school shortly before 8am and 330 students and staff were evacuated as a precaution.
The gas leak was isolated around 9.20am although students and staff were forced to wait until firefighters conducted tests.
Firefighters ventilated the area and conducted atmospheric tests before leaving the school around 10.20am.
An Emergency Services Agency spokesman said the cause of the gas leak was accidental and most likely from a heating source.
The gas leak at the Holt school was reported at 9.55am and firefighters believe it was sourced in the school gymnasium.
The leak was isolated by firefighters around 10.20am and no evacuations were required.

Technicians are currently working to rectify the cause of the gas leak.
ACT Fire and Rescue deployed two pumpers, a hazardous materials unit and the breathing apparatus van to the school.
