Floriade has been closed and Nightfest will be closed on Thursday night due to heavy rain on Thursday morning, organisers have confirmed.

An event spokesperson said the site needed to be closed for "park maintenance," with more rain expected later in the afternoon, and said NightFest will also be cancelled for the evening.

"All ticket holders will be contacted by Ticketek and presented with the option to either transfer their tickets or get a full refund," the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said the festival would re-open on Friday and referred people to the Floriade Facebook page for further information.
