A prison guard who spent four months in one of Australia's most notorious jails on allegedly false rape claims has told his accuser's trial that he is "here for justice".

The man, then an Alexander Maconochie Centre officer, was accused by his ex-partner of bashing and raping her.
The allegations were made in the midst of a family law dispute over their Bonner home, into which her new boyfriend, a NSW police officer, had moved.
A neighbour on Thursday gave evidence the new boyfriend had said or implied to her that they were trying to create a bad picture of the prison guard so they would be awarded the house.
The allegations saw the man locked up in Goulburn jail until he was released in July last year, when it emerged that covert surveillance had raised serious doubts about the woman's credibility.
She has since been charged and is on trial this week in the ACT Magistrates Court for making false accusations, causing public mischief, and possessing capsicum spray.
The former prison guard gave evidence on Thursday, strongly denying the claims he ever sexually or physically assaulted her.
He said he had an alibi for one of the rapes he had been accused of in March last year, saying he was with his family at their Canberra home.
A digital photograph of him with a relative supported that alibi, he said, and the image had an associated time, date and geographic information, which he said he couldn't have made up.
Defence lawyer Michael Kukulies-Smith asked him why he had never brought that alibi to the attention of the courts, prosecutors, or police, and the man responded he was acting under instructions from his lawyers.
Mr Kukulies-Smith then accused him of lying about his innocence to protect himself.
The man responded:
"No that's false.
"I'm here for justice, and so is everybody else here, except for you."
He said his ex's statements to police were so flawed that you could "drive a truck through them".
Prosecutor Anthony Williamson told the court the woman had given varying versions of the March 2013 rape allegation, twice to a police officer on scene, another to an ambulance officer, and two in formal statements.
Mr Williamson also tendered an affidavit filed in family law proceedings about the incident, in which the woman added a new and "very different" element to her story.
The former prison guard said he and the woman, then a NSW police admin worker, had broken up in November 2013 because he found out she was cheating on him with the NSW police officer.
Earlier on Thursday, that NSW police officer denied they were romantically involved before December 2013, but agreed they had been regularly exchanging texts and calls, and that she had come to his house.
He moved into her Bonner home the same month as their relationship started, he said.
The Crown has alleged the false rape claim was motivated by greed, to gain leverage in ongoing family law proceedings over the home.
Mr Williamson asked the NSW officer whether he and the defendant had discussed the chances of them keeping the home, should her ex-partner be charged with a criminal offence.
The officer said they had not talked about the issue.
That appeared to be contradicted by the evidence of their neighbour.
She spoke of having a conversation with the new boyfriend, in which he either said or implied that he and the defendant were trying to take over the house by creating a bad picture of her ex.
The defendant pleaded guilty to possessing capsicum spray on Thursday, but is maintaining her innocence to the other charges.
The hearing continues before Chief Magistrate Lorraine Walker on Friday.
