Western Australian artists, David Hay and Kevin Gordon have brought their collection, titled Occidental, to the Canberra Glassworks for a two-month exhibition.
The works are a combination of blown and carved glass featuring incredibly detailed designs and a multitude of colours.
Matt and shiny surfaces have been mixed on individual pieces, giving them a fascinating texture that allows the pieces to convey their own messages.
A translucent blue vase called ''Confluence'' by Gordon reflects the colour of the ocean. Its surface has been carved with a series of human faces viewed on profile.
Many of the faces are looking into one another, symbolic of the word confluence which refers to the place where two rivers meet.
Hay and Gordon, who are both based in Perth, have worked together to support each other's art. They have used a range of processes including hot glass, carving and photography, which they have used for more than a decade.
Hay's pieces are based on landscapes and he has used aerial photography to inspire his work.
