The fire burnt through about 100 square metres of grass land on Tharwa Drive, near the Lanyon Homestead.

The fire was under control and crews were mopping up by 5.30pm. It was fully extinguished by 6.12pm.

Five fire fighting units, from ACT Fire and Rescue and the ACT Rural Fire Service, were deployed to the fire.

The Emergency Services Agency said there was little to no risk to life or property at the fire’s current danger rating.
