Up to 15,000 people are expected at the annual music festival, with some tickets still available at the gate.
The event is notorious for being on the chilly side, and this year looks like no exception. A brisk maximum of 16 degrees is forecast, and once the sun goes down, the temperature could drop as low as 6 degrees. There is also the possible chance of showers in the morning.
Groovin The Moo's Canberra site manager Tom Michael has led a team who have been working at the site for almost a week to get everything set up.
''We've been here since Monday - hundreds of people are involved,'' he said.
The finishing touch was eight full trucks of lighting equipment that arrived on Saturday morning, and will be gone again by the early hours of Monday.
''It's sort of funny because you put all this effort into it and then you pull it down straight away and then we move on,'' he said.
Michael has been focused on getting the fields in tip-top condition for the crowd, and hopes any showers won't ruin his hard work.
''So as long as the crowd enjoys it, we're happy,'' he said.
''The crowd's great up here - it's got a very good vibe this festival.''
This year's line-up includes big international acts including Disclosure, Dizzee Rascal, Robert Delong and The Naked and Famous. Local favourites The Presets, Illy, The Jezabels and Vance Joy will also take to the stage.
Groovin The Moo has been running since 2005, taking a full-scale music festival to a range of regional venues.
The Canberra show will mark the third day in a row of touring, having kicked off on Friday with a show in Oakbank, South Australia, followed by Saturday's festival in Maitland.
The acts will stay on the road for three more shows in Bendigo, Townsville and Bunbury.
