Michael John Johnstone, 20, is one of two men accused of using a stolen Subaru Impreza to ram through security doors and drive through the shopping centre last month.

Workers inside at the time were lucky not to be hurt.

Dramatic CCTV footage captures the Subaru driving through the centre, and ramming through doors of a jewellery store.

Two men, who cannot be identified, then get out and take more than $20,000 in jewellery, before fleeing.

It is alleged the stolen Subaru was later torched.

Mr Johnstone was arrested earlier this month, and charged with burglary, property damage, driving a stolen vehicle and arson.

The court heard blood and DNA closely matching Johnstone's was found at the scene, despite him earlier telling police he had never been to the shopping centre.

Mr Johnstone is in custody, having had bail denied earlier this month due to the likelihood he would reoffend and abscond.

He appeared again before Magistrate Beth Campbell on Friday, and his lawyer Dean Rutherford entered not guilty pleas to all charges.

Mr Rutherford said no bail application was to be made, and the case was adjourned to July.

Police have previously said they are considering laying further charges against Mr Johnstone.

A second man, Dylan Bowler, 18, has also been charged over the ram-raid, but has entered no pleas. Mr Bowler also remains in custody.
