Among them is the native bulbine lily, eaten either roasted or raw, as well as the tufted perennial herb Dianella longifolia, the berries of which can be eaten in spring and summer
''The objective is to improve lands which were former pine plantations, burnt in 2003,'' said Kirilly Dickson, senior environment and sustainability manager at ACTEW Water.
''These works should see habitat corridors increased, biodiversity improved and positives for water quality across the area.''
Four members of the Yurung Dhaura group employed by the Environment and Sustainable Development Directorate are planting them.
