Not long after BMX star Caroline Buchanan was named, Henderson was also announced as part of the growing squad for next month's London Olympic Games.
The 20-year-old's coach, Daniel McConnell, was also named in the team.
Henderson achieved her first podium with a bronze medal in the under-23 event at the World Cup in Houffalize, Belgium, in April.
She also finished second at the fourth World Cup round in La Bresse, France.
Henderson is ranked second in the under-23 standings, but 55th in the seniors and is considered a realistic medal contender for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Games.
