Police have charged a NSW south coast man over the Tuesday robbery, and he will face the ACT Magistrates Court charged with aggravated robbery.
Police allege the 28-year-old from Surfside, near Batemans Bay, entered the Higgins Capital Chemist about 11am on Tuesday, armed with a large kitchen knife.
"He threatened staff, demanding drugs from the chemist safe and cash," an ACT Policing spokesman said.
"The staff member complied, with the man fleeing the area in a white sedan with a sum of money and prescription medication."
Police arrested the south coast man about 1.45am on Wednesday and took him to the ACT Watch House.
He was charged with aggravated robbery and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
