LACHIE COSSOR scoffs at the notion he is a horse whisperer, but to a hail of laughter his horse Ernie lays down at the most inconvenient moment, pulls off his saddle blanket, opens a grooming chest and picks up a snake.

His pigs readily jump into a wagon pulled by a small pony and a 1000-kilogram bullock named Jigsaw happily carries the 43-year-old entertainer on his back while he serenades the crowd with a song about his daughters not being allowed to date cowboys.
''Horse whispering is body language,'' he said. ''I do pressure points and stuff but I take the mickey out of it in the show, that's the whole point.''
The half-hour Animal Wranglers show put on by Crosser and his daughters is timed to perfection and the laughs flow as the animals make him out for a fool.
Dressed in identical pink shirts, his three girls Shannon, 15, Abbey, 14 and Hannah, 9, care for the animals in the show.
''Yep they are a part of the family,'' Shannon said.
''Although once you get to know the pigs they aren't very nice,'' Crosser said.
The show has been touring for 11 years and the family have made the trip to Canberra five times.
Abbey said travelling and meeting new people was the best part of being involved in the family business: ''Seeing lots of different places and people.''
Performances begin at 10am, noon, 2pm and 4pm on Sunday near Federation Drive.
