Imran Hakimi, 32, was on Friday committed to the ACT Supreme Court for sentence on nine charges, including intentional wounding, possessing a weapon with intent, and property damage.

Hakimi did not apply for bail when he appeared before Special Magistrate Margaret Hunter in the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday.

Court documents said Hakimi randomly attacked cars with a machete and a paring knife as they drove through Belconnen about 11.20pm on November 13.

He used the machete to hit the window and door frame of woman's car, before opening the car door and holding the knife against her throat.

The knife caused a cut to her throat, but a court has previously heard the wound had not been deep enough to cause serious injury.

The woman fled and Hakimi next attacked a taxi, striking the bonnet with the knife, before opening the driver side door, and yelling: "I have lost my kids, I will stab you, you black c---."

He allegedly struck at the taxi driver, who suffered a cut to his chin.

The driver grabbed his wrist and pulled him into the vehicle.

Two passengers of the taxi then pulled Hakimi from the car and restrained him, before two other men joined in.

Hakimi was held until police arrived.

He has been in custody since.

He will appear before the higher court for mention on December 10.
