Canberrans pride themselves on their quality drinking water and Icon Water has confirmed it has met "100 per cent compliance" with its public health obligations.

Its Annual Drinking Water Quality Report 2016-17 demonstrates how the water utility meets those obligations.
And it reveals that last financial year each Canberran on average used 305 litres of drinking water per day.
Total consumption for the 12 months was was 49,801 megalitres (with Queanbeyanites included), which was a 1.2 per cent decrease on the previous year.
The total reservoir storage was 84.3 per cent, up by 1.9 per cent.
"Once treated, Icon Water distributes the water throughout Canberra using a complex network of approximately 3400 km of pipes and 48 service reservoirs sites," the report reads.
"This infrastructure is maintained and closely monitored to ensure the Canberra community receives high quality drinking water."
Icon Water manages about 172,000 connections to the water network in the ACT.
During 2016–17, a total of 169 water quality complaints were received, representing a 26.5 per cent reduction compared with the previous year.
Most complaints - 47.9 per cent - were related to discoloured water, which Icon Water says is often related to maintenance work or internal plumbing.
Icon Water managing director John Knox said : "This report really gets to the heart of our core purpose here at Icon Water; to consistently provide the community with water that tastes great and is really good for you.
"We appreciate the voluntary contribution of over 100 customers who allowed us to collect more than 1200 routine water samples across Canberra homes this year as part of our Water Quality Monitoring Program.
"As we move into the warmer weather, the community can be rest assured that we have healthy water storages to meet their needs over the summer period."
