Congratulations to Canberra author Kerry-Anne Walsh who has been nominated in the non-fiction category of the Indie Awards 2014 for The Stalking of Julia Gillard. The category winners and the Book of the Year winner will be announced in Sydney on March 26.

CHASS ENTRIES INVITED
The CHASS Australia Prizes are awarded by the Council for the Humanities, Arts and Social Science (CHASS) for achievement by Australian academics, practitioners, philanthropists and policy makers in humanities, arts and social sciences. One prize is for a book that enriches Australian cultural and intellectual life, the second for an exceptional artistic performance or practical contribution to arts policy. OUT OF THE SHELL
Leonie Pye of Belconnen's children's book, The Little Shell, was a work of the community with artwork done by participants of the OPEN ART Group at Belconnen Community Centre and contributions by photographer Margaret Kalms and graphic designer Susan Hey. Twenty per cent of the sale price is being donated to Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. It will be launched at Paperchain Bookstore Manuka on February 22 at 11am.
HEAR PRISONER X AUTHOR
As part of the ANU/Canberra Times meet-the-author series 2014, broadcaster and journalist Rafael Epstein will talk about his book Prisoner X, the true story behind the life of Ben Zyiger - son, soldier, spy - who came to a tragic end. PASCALL PRIZE AWAITS
