Kippax Halal Markets was extensively damaged by smoke and has been closed since the fire on December 15.
Police said firefighters were called to the shop after reports of smoke coming from the roof cavity of the centre about 1am.
They put out the fire, which started in an office area within the building, and most of the damage caused was by the smoke.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious but said there was no evidence at this stage to suggest the incident was racially motivated.
Any witnesses who saw people or cars in the area at the time of the incident have been urged to contact Crime Stoppers, 1800 333 000.
