The concrete bridge segments are steam cured to offset the cooler temperatures.
This involves placing a tarp over the concrete then steam is used to set the concrete.
According to ACT Territory and Municipal Services, this is a common process that helps the concrete cure quicker.
As the weather gets warmer, this process may not be necessary.
