The man suspected of blowing up a gas bottle in the Braddon McDonald's was on bail for attempting to torch a restaurant using petrol, a court has heard.

Gyu Seon Park, 41, appeared in court on Friday with bandaged arms and in a hospital gown, after being discharged from the burns unit at Concord Hospital in Sydney on Thursday.
There are significant concerns about his mental health.
Park is accused of taking a gas bottle into the McDonald's store on Cooyong Street on September 12.
The gas bottle was placed in the toilet and allowed to begin leaking.
He allegedly walked back out and told staff there was a gas leak, before the explosion occurred.
The manager and 10 staff were on the street and the Braddon restaurant was empty when the explosion shattered the glass front doors around 9pm.
Park sustained burns in the explosion and was taken to Sydney for specialist treatment.
The ACT Supreme Court heard he was deemed well enough to be extradited back to Canberra on Thursday.
Prosecutors told Justice John Burns that Park was a "dangerous man", who needed to be kept in custody.
The court heard he was on bail at the time of the McDonald's explosion for allegedly dousing the Kusina restaurant in Cooleman Court with petrol in September last year.
Park was said to be in a desperate state following a dispute with his former employer, a collapsed Canberra construction company, over unpaid debts.
He had met with his old boss at the restaurant for lunch, court documents state, but was told he couldn't be given any money.
Park allegedly began pouring petrol through the venue, including on diners' feet, but was tackled before he could ignite the accelerant.
He was released on bail and had been co-operative with his conditions until last month, when a warrant was issued for his arrest on September 11.
The next day, he allegedly took the gas bottle to Braddon McDonald's.
The court heard that forensic mental health staff believed Park should be taken to Canberra Hospital, under court order, to enable better assessment and treatment.
Prosecutors opposed Park being granted bail, saying he could be adequately treated in the Alexander Maconochie Centre, and had already undergone rigorous mental health assessments.
"In my submission, he is a dangerous person who is more appropriately dealt with in custody," the prosecutor said.
Justice Burns revoked Park's bail and recommended he be treated at the prison.
He noted a bail application could be made by Park at a later date if issues arose.
