A 21-year-old Torrens man has been arrested in connection to an alleged attack on an 82-year-old man outside his Pearce home in September.

The elderly man heard noises outside his house about 10.30pm on September 22, and allegedly encountered the 21 year old when he went out to investigate.
Police said an altercation took place and the elderly man was left with serious head and facial injuries.
He was taken to the Canberra Hospital where he underwent surgery for his injuries.
The younger man is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Tuesday, charged with intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm.
