Man arrested following alleged armed subway robbery
An 18-year-old man has been arrested by police, following the alleged armed robbery of subway store on Tuesday night.
Police say two men armed with a pair of scissors allegedly threatened staff Weston takeaway store and demanded cash at about 9.20pm.
After fleeing the store, the men were confronted by police.
One man was arrested by police but another escaped in a blue station wagon with dark tinted windows, towards Namatjira Drive.
Police suspect the vehicle is stolen.
The man who evaded police is Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance and approximately 170cm tall with a slim build.
A Wanniassa man has been charged with aggravated robbery and will face the ACT Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
