A man has been arrested for allegedly threatening a pizza delivery driver with a replica handgun over the weekend.

It is alleged the 43-year-old Curtin man threatened a Domino's delivery driver on Saturday night with what appeared to be a handgun. Police have said the driver was not robbed or harmed during the incident.

Police raided the accused's Throssell Street home last night, closing down the street as police from Criminal Investigations and Specialist Response and Security executed a search warrant.

Police seized a number of items from the home as evidence, including clothing and a replica handgun. Police also found a quantity of illicit substances at the residence, believed to be cannabis, heroin and amphetamines.

The man is expected to face ACT Magistrates Court today charged with unauthorised possession or use of a prohibited firearm, possession of offensive weapon with intent, possession of drug of dependence and possession of prohibited substance.
