Christopher Michael Symss, 24, was alleged to have breached conditions on October 31 which forbid him from entering a Tuggeranong home and from making contact with a named person.
The statement of facts tendered in the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday said Symss was arrested on Friday in relation to the breach.
Symss had been on bail after being charged with an act of indecency with a young person relating to an incident in August.
The court heard the named person was at a neighbour's place for dinner and returned to her home about 11pm, at which time the neighbour saw the defendant enter the home.
Prosecutor Vicki Hogarth opposed bail on the ground that the defendant posed a risk to a prosecution witness.
The duty defence lawyer said the defendant, who entered no plea in relation to the alleged breach, had started full-time work as a barista about a week ago and would lose his employment if bail was not granted.
Magistrate Peter Morrison refused bail as he said there was strong evidence of a breach of a bail condition.
The matter will return to court on November 13, when the defence lawyer indicated his client would apply for bail.
