A Canberra man who forced his step-daughter to dress in lingerie and pose in an explicit photoshoot has been jailed.

On another occasion the man had the girl and her cousin take pictures of him in the bath.
In jailing the man on Thursday, Justice John Burns found sexual gratification had been the motive for the offences.
The judge sentenced the man to more than two years behind bars.
The victims and supporters wept and hugged after the man - whose name has been suppressed to protect their identities - was taken away by Corrections staff in handcuffs.
Court documents said the man had committed the 11 offences against his step-daughter and her cousin between July 1988 and February 1991, when the girls were aged between nine and 12 years.
Between about mid-1989 to 1990, the man took his step-daughter to a photographic studio where he forced her to pose in soft pornography.
About a year later, the offender had his step-daughter dress in various items of lingerie and pose in sexualised positions while he took pictures.
In 1989, he also told the girls to dance naked while he watched.
On other occasions, he forced his step-daughter to masturbate him and perform oral sex.
The court heard the offences had been reported to police in 1999 and the man interviewed by officers in 2000.
But the investigation stalled after he moved to the United Kingdom.
There was no suggestion he fled to avoid prosecution.
He returned to Australia in 2012 and was charged in 2014.
The man had denied the allegations and went on trial in the in the ACT Supreme Court in September.
A jury found him guilty of incest and 10 counts of committing an act of indecency on a child.
He appeared for sentence before Justice Burns on Thursday.
The court heard the impact on the victim had been severe and long-lasting.
Justice Burns said the offences covered low-to-high range.
The court heard the man continued to maintain his innocence and showed little remorse.
Despite his denials, Justice Burns said evidence showed the man had largely rehabilitated himself.
Justice Burns sentenced the man to six years and nine months jail, with a non-parole period of two years and three months.
The man will be eligible for parole in February 2018.
