Man killed at Googong crash

A 69-year-old Queanbeyan man killed in Googong crash.

A report will be prepared for the NSW Coroner following a fatal crash at Googong, near Queanbeyan.

Emergency services were called to Old Cooma Road, Googong, about 5.45pm Friday after a collision between a Holden utility and a Ivenco truck.

The driver and sole occupant of the utility, a 69-year-old Queanbeyan man, died at the scene.

The 75-year-old male truck driver was taken to Canberra Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Police from Monaro Local Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash and are appealing for anyone who witnessed it, or the events leading up to it, to come forward.
