A 32-year-old man needed surgery to fix a broken nose, eye socket and cheekbone after a brawl outside a Dickson bar on Saturday, February 2.

Police said the fight between two groups of people happened about 11.30pm outside the Hostage Bar, in Challis Street.

"As a result of the assault the man suffered a broken nose, eye socket and cheekbone injuries which required surgery," police said in a statement.  

"The alleged offender is described as being of Islander appearance, approximately 183cm (6’) tall, aged in his 20s and wearing a white long-sleeved shirt."
