Simon Milne Snowden, 44, was remanded in custody in the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday after breaching the conditions of his bail.

Mr Snowden had been required to report to the City Police Station each Wednesday between 8am and 8pm as a condition of his bail for a drug supply charge from June 9, the court heard.

On Wednesday he arrived at the station 2½ hours late at 10:30pm and police allegedly found 20 pills thought to be MDMA, two bags of ice, a bag of cannabis, a stolen bankcard and two stolen health cards when they arrested him for breaching his bail.

Snowden was already facing several other charges including another count of drug supply, two counts of possessing a knife and conspiracy to defraud and the court heard he was due to return for a hearing in November.

Magistrate Beth Campbell described Mr Snowden as a "one-man crime spree" who had been "brazen" to report to the police station with a "significant number of pills" and stolen property.

In opposing bail, the prosecution told the court Mr Snowden was an illicit drug user and supplier who was a "danger to himself and the community" and who had shown he couldn't follow bail conditions.

She told the court both drug charges carried a maximum sentence of two years jail.

Mr Snowden's defence lawyer acknowledged the breach but asked the magistrate to consider more stringent conditions including a curfew so he could still have custody of his son on weekends.

He said Mr Snowden had taken steps to address his ongoing drug dependency including contacting rehabilitation service Karralika.

But Ms Campbell refused Mr Snowden's bail saying he had made a "mockery of the system" and was likely to re-offend.

"I'm also concerned about the cards, you had no explanation," she said.

"You've stolen them and were going to use them and I don't know if you'd had contact with Karralika."

The matter will return to court on July 20.
