A 49-year-old man was caught speeding more than 70km/h over the limit this morning.
The O'Connor man was caught driving at 131km/h in a 60km/h zone after he overtook an unmarked police car at 5.53am on the Barton Highway, police say.He was issued an $1811 fine and lost six demerit points.
Police have issued 167 traffic infringement notices during the past two days during early morning traffic operations. Most of the offenders were caught between 5am and 10am.
