Firefighters have used rescue tools to remove a man from a car after a collision in Charnwood Tuesday evening.
Intensive care paramedics have stabilised the man, aged about 40, and are taking him to the Canberra Hospital in a stable condition.
He was involved in a two-car crash at the corner of Ginninderra Drive and Tillyard Drive about 5.15pm.
ACT Fire & Rescue and ACT Ambulance were still at the scene shortly after 6pm.
Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to remove the roof of the man's car and get him out.
Three other people were assessed at the scene but did not require transport to hospital.
