A man threatened a 75-year-old woman with a knife before taking a large sum of cash from her purse outside the Tuggeranong Hockey Centre on Monday.

The woman was standing next to her car, outside the centre on Soward Way in Greenway, when the man approached and opened the rear passenger side door about 11am.
When confronted by the woman, the man threatened her with a knife before taking a large sum of cash from her purse in the car, police allege.
He then left the scene in a black station wagon heading eastbound towards the Tuggeranong Town Centre.
The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his mid 30s, about 180cm (5'11") tall.
He was wearing khaki shorts, a short-sleeved orange high-visibility T-shirt and an orange plastic fingerless glove on his left hand.
The offender was clean shaven and was also wearing a yellow and blue construction style helmet.
