WorkSafe ACT will consider an investigation into safety conditions at a Narrabundah business after a worker's arm was caught in an olive-crushing machine.

ACT Fire and Rescue responded to reports of a man, 48, whose arm had become caught in the machine at the Olive Grove company on Thursday morning.
Crews attending the property at the corner of Hindmarsh Drive and Dalrymple Street used hydraulic tools to free the man's arm from the machine before he was transported to the Canberra Hospital by ACT Ambulance Service intensive care paramedics.
The man had suffered significant lower arm injuries.
A hospital spokesman said he was unable to provide a status update on the man's condition on Thursday evening, but that the patient's treatment was continuing.
ACT WorkSafe Commissioner Mark McCabe said the authority had issued a prohibition notice on the equipment as well as an official do not disturb notice on the immediate area, before a possible investigation.
He said investigators would establish if the business owner's are required to comply with regulations established by the Work Health and Safety Act.
''WorkSafe has some serious concerns about the processes in place,'' Mr McCabe said. ''Our serious investigations unit are looking at the issues involved and once we clarify the situation we will investigate how this incident came to take place.''
