Police have charged two men after they were caught allegedly trying to sell stolen items to Cash Converters in Woden, one pretending to be an AFP officer.

The men were arrested after a shop attendant alerted police when they entered the store on Monday and one said they wanted to sell a bag of tools, the ACT Magistrates Court was told on Tuesday.
Police say the man who allegedly asked to sell the tools, Brett Norman Collins, 30, of Holt, tried to impersonate a police officer.
When the store contacted a phone number on the side of the bag and learnt the tools were missing, it called police who arrived and tried to arrest the men, according to police facts tendered to the court.
The second man, Jack Daniel McGrail, 23, of Turner, was caught after a short chase on foot, police said.
Mr Collins did not apply for bail in the ACT Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody until June 20 on charges of unlawful possession of stolen property, attempting to obtain a financial advantage through deception and impersonating a territory public official.
While Magistrate Glenn Theakston granted Mr McGrail bail, he stayed the order on Monday morning pending a hearing into an alleged breach of a good behaviour order in the ACT Supreme Court.
Mr McGrail pleaded not guilty to attempting to escape arrest, trying to obtain financial advantage through deception, and unlawfully possessing stolen property.
A third man accused of trying to sell the items will be summonsed to appear in the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.
