The Bureau of Meteorology has warned more storms could hit Canberra on Saturday afternoon, but said the main threat had eased.
The severe thunderstorm warning was updated at 3.11pm, about an hour and a half after the last system passed over the ACT.
ACT Fire and Rescue has received 28 calls for help so far, though no serious damage has been reported.
No power outages have been reported so far as a result of the storm.
SES volunteers and ACT Fire and Rescue crews responded to the calls.
Hail was reported at Woden and Belconnen, while the bureau's Canberra station's 3.30pm reading recorded 3.2mm of rain since 9am.
The Tuggeranong station recorded 2.8mm of rain during the same period.
