A 51-year-old man died on Wednesday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a car south of Jindabyne.
After receiving reports of a crash on Barry Way around 2.30pm, police travelled 5km south of Jindabyne and found the man, believed to be from Victoria, had died at the scene.
Police said the BMW motorcycle had collided with a Mazda SUV and its female driver was taken to Comma District Hospital with minor injuries.
Two children inside the car, aged 14 and 11, were uninjured.
Paramedics treated the woman for facial lacerations before taking her to Cooma District Hospital for treatment and mandatory blood and urine testing.
Officers from Monaro Local Area Command established a crime scene at the location and Barry Way remained closed to motorists at 9pm.
A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
