Motorcyclist in hospital after accident in Monash

A male driver has been transported Canberra Hospital in a stable condition after surviving a motorcycle accident in Monash earlier today.

The rider, who crashed just after 1.30pm at Clive Steele Avenue, is being treated for shoulder injuries.

An ACT police spokesperson said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Meanwhile a three-vehicle accident at the junction of Northbourne Avenue and the Flemington Road exit in Lyneham has caused mild traffic chaos.

An ACT emergency services spokesperson said no one was hurt at the scene, but the incident closed an outbound lane of Northbourne avenue to enable the cars to be safely towed.

Traffic congestions in the area, close to the Royal Canberra Show held at EPIC, has now cleared.
