NSW police and emergency services responded to reports of a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a Holden Commodore on Henry Lawson Way about 2.50pm.
According to police, the 24-year-old motorcyclist whose identity is not yet known died at the scene.
The 85-year-old female driver of the Commodore was taken to Young Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene has been established and police are investigating the cause of the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
