Mental health nurses say an accused murderer said he wanted to kill an older patient in his ward in the weeks following his alleged killing of Miodrag Gajic.

The Crown's case against Danny Klobucar, 27, was all but completed on Thursday, as prosecutors called their final two witnesses in the ACT Supreme Court trial.
Mr Klobucar is accused of beating Mr Gajic, 71, to death near the front door of his Phillip unit on New Year's Day 2014.
It is alleged that Mr Klobucar, who was said to be struggling with delusions, formed the belief that Mr Gajic was a paedophile two days earlier, when he went with his uncle went to buy cannabis from the deceased.
The court has heard that Mr Klobucar believed he was an undercover police agent, working to bust underground networks of paedophiles.
It is alleged he returned to Mr Gajic's unit by himself on New Year's Day, inflicted severe head injuries with a weapon, and then dragged the body back into the hallway, leaving a number of bloodied shoeprints in the process.
Crown prosecutor Mark Fernandez has called a large volume of tendency evidence in Mr Klobucar's trial, to try to prove the accused had a tendency to be obsessed with paedophiles, becoming suspicious of, and aggressive toward, older men.
That tendency evidence continued on Thursday, when two nurses who worked at Canberra Hospital's adult mental health unit told the court of an incident in mid-January 2014, roughly two weeks after Mr Gajic's death.
Mr Klobucar had been sent to the mental health unit after his arrest at the Lighthouse pub in Belconnen on the night of the alleged murder.
Nurse Melissa Austin told the court that Mr Klobucar accused an older man in the ward of being a paedophile, and became agitated.
Her nursing notes record Mr Klobucar as saying words to the effect of:
"I just want to kill him. He knows he's not sick.
"He knows he's going to get locked up and he's just trying to get one more victim.
"How can I be in here knowing there is a paedophile next door.
"Why are you protecting him?"
A second nurse, Shane Carter, also gave evidence that Mr Klobucar became agitated about the older man. Mr Carter said he had told Mr Klobucar to ignore the older man because he was mentally unwell.
Mr Klobucar has denied causing Mr Gajic's death, and is also relying on a defence of mental impairment.
Two psychiatrists have already given evidence that Mr Klobucar, if he did kill the man, was unable to properly understand that his actions were wrong.
A third psychiatrist is expected to give evidence when the trial resumes before Justice Hilary Penfold on Friday.
