A scribbled note in a magazine could lead to vital information in one of Canberra’s oldest missing person cases.

Police are trying to locate the person who wrote the name "Inge Quitt" under a photo of Megan Mulquiney in a copy of the September 2018 edition of The Australian Women’s Weekly.
The person has also underlined a number of words in the magazine, which was left at Clare Holland House, the lakeside hospice run by Calvary Hospital.
Police have spoken to Mrs Quitt, a well-known seamstress and former Queanbeyan resident, and do not believe she wrote her own name or was in any way involved in Megan's disappearance.
But officers would like to speak to the person who made the notes to understand whether there’s any significance.
Megan disappeared nearly 35 years ago outside the Woden Plaza, after finishing her shift at Big W on Saturday, July 28, 1984.
The 17-year-old, then a student at Narrabundah College, was last seen outside the southside mall about 12.30pm, and was expected home on the bus that afternoon.
She never made it to the bus, and has not been seen or heard from since.
ACT police reopened the case last year after the main suspect in the case, convicted rapist Paul Vincent Phillips, died.
Phillips died in April, with police saying a number of people had been in touch with new information since.
Since then, new leads have emerged as more information about the case has come to light.
Megan’s mother, Dorothy Mulquiney, said she and her ex-husband Paul Mulquiney, Megan’s father, were grateful to the public for continuing to come forward with new information.
“We’ve always said that anything helps and that someone out there must know something about what happened to Megan,” she said.
“We just want to know what happened to her - we need answers.”
