ACT Policing stopped 50 cars between 1am and 4am in the Emu Bank Area, with five drivers charged with driving under the influence.
Four drivers had their licences suspended, and all will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
A 33-year-old man on a probationary licence for previous drink-driving offences returned an alcohol reading of 0.132. A 21-year-old Watson woman returned a reading of 0.151 – three times the legal limit of 0.05.
Acting Superintendent of traffic operations Rod Anderson said it was an alarming result.
It comes after a month-long targeted campaign nabbed 104 drink-drivers across the ACT.
"Conditions are hazardous enough this winter without impaired drivers ignoring our messages, risking their lives and the lives of other people in our community by choosing to commit these offences," Supt Anderson said.
"Every police car is fitted with breath-testing equipment and these results show that if you chose to ignore the message to drink or drive, you could be caught anywhere, anytime."
