Two lanes will be closed, except for during peak hours, when one lane will be closed. It will be back to three lanes before Monday's afternoon peak, an ACT Government spokesperson said.
A 60km/h speed limit will also be enforced in the area during this period.
"The lane closures are to allow identified pavement repairs to be completed by the original contractor of the road widening project as part of the defects period," the spokesperson said.
"Barriers as well as warning and diversion signs will be erected to alert people to the changed traffic conditions."
They have urged motorists to consider using a different route where possible and apologised for any inconvenience.
