Massey, 29, pleaded guilty to a string of driving offences, including reckless driving, driving disqualified and failing to stop when police signaled him.
The ACT Magistrates Court heard Massey had been recently released from jail on parole for other offences when he was spotted by police driving a blue Holden Commodore yesterday.
Police say he fled when they tried to pull him over and drove dangerously as he sped away.
Officers placed a cordon around five inner south suburbs, including Griffith, Red Hill and Deakin, after receiving reports of Massey’s driving from members of the public.
Massey was spotted leaving the Stuart flats on a pushbike and evaded police but was eventually arrested on Currie Crescent in Kingston by special response officers.
He did not apply for bail.
His defence lawyer asked the court to order a pre-sentence report but Magistrate David Mossop declined, saying there would not be much new information to be gathered about Massey because he had only recently been released from jail.
He remanded Massey in custody and adjourned the matter to April.
