Pet store robbed by man 'with gun'

February 9, 2012

Police are looking for a man who robbed Petbarn at Belconnen Markets on Monday.

The man entered the store at about 9am and asked staff if he could use their phone because he was having car troubles.

After using the store's phone he told a staff member he had a gun and demanded money, police said. He later fled the scene with a sum of cash.

The man was Caucasian and in his late 30s. He was wearing a black Everlast T-shirt, dark parachute style tracksuit pants with a white stripe and a black baseball cap and runners.

Witnesses are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via the Crime Stoppers website on www.act.crimestoppers.com.au
