The event was a Pink Night, held by the Indie-structables, which is a group that has formed to raise funds and support for the Taurima family.
The tally was growing quickly at the event held on Saturday night and was expected to top $100,000.
Organiser Tim Ralph said the event included a dinner, auctions, raffles and entertainment.
''About 130 people have come and they are being very generous,'' he said.
Mareeba is the home town of Indie Rose Taurima's mother, Jen Smith.
Indie Rose was diagnosed with infant acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at just three months of age and continues to battle the disease.
Her father is the Sydney 2000 Olympic silver medallist Jai Taurima.
A major cupcake sale was held at AFP headquarters in Barton in April to raise money for the family and the Indie-structables have plans for a wheelbarrow race in Queensland later in May.
Saturday night's auction items added some considerable sums to the event's final tally.
The list of auction items included a signed 2012 Queensland State of Origin jersey, a 26-piece wrench set from FNQ Filters and Parts and a fully signed 2014 Melbourne Storm football and jersey - provided by local footy star Ben Hampton.
''The Great Wheelbarrow Race in Mareeba happens every year,'' Mr Ralph said.
''We will have a team in it.''
